Bits and Bobs: September

Here's the quick little round up of the things I bought in September!

Beauty

L'Oreal Foundation
I don't usually wear foundation, I don't like it, that's why I prefer to take good care of my skin, but change means a lot of things. I swapped schools and there are boys EVERYWHERE ( I used to go to an all girls school) so I find my self getting embarrassed constantly, and when I do I go BRIGHT RED, I am not over exaggerating. So I wear it to stop looking like a tomato, also because I have been snacking so much I have started to get some breakouts, ew, I know I should stop but it's so difficult.
This is a great foundation, It's quite light to wear and is buildable, but if it comes into contact with water it will come off easily, so if you live in a rainy place maybe avoid it. It's not sticky and last long otherwise. I have recommended this to some of my friends because it is pretty great.

L'Oreal Lipstick
You guys probably know how lip obsessed I am. I wore lipstick for the majority of the summer so now back at school its absence on my face feels weird, so naturally I bought a nude. I n fact I don't actually own very many, I think this is the only one I have. It's subtle, so prefect for school. It smells so good as well, not an essential but nice. It can last all day depending on wether you choose to eat constantly like me. A nice little nude to have in the collection.

Rimmel Caramel Nail Varnish
Again because I'm back at school I had to go for a nude colour. This is a nice colour, the quality of the formula isn't the best but it does the trick....at least until I get bored and pick it all off because I need to do so many layers to get a decent coverage. I really need to stop buying Rimmel nail varnishes, it's not good for me.

Rimmel Extreme Black Volume Mascara Flash
I, being the idiot that I am, managed to leave my ENTIRE makeup bag at school over leave weekend, which meant I had to spend the whole time I was in London practically facially naked. Luckily for me I managed to convince my Dad to let my quickly buy this in Boots. It was the first mascara I saw but I did the trick. A good little thing to have lying round your handbag in case you forget your makeup bag but I wouldn't have this as your main mascara, it's more one of those this-will-do types.

Fashion

H&M Hair Clip (bobble hider?)
I found this quite cute. A major impulse buy but I think it was worth it. It's a clip of sorts that has a bobble in it, you tie up your hair, tie this round it and then clip the gold bit round, so it hides your bobbles. Clever and pretty handy right? I don't understand why I have't bought one of these before. I seriously love the idea of this and recommend it to pretty much every girl to ever girl.

Floppy Hat H&M
I bought a hat. I didn't need it I just really wanted it. I've wanted a hat like this foreveeeeeeer. I can't see anything when I'm wearing it but it's fun to wear so it's all good.

Coat Zara
Winter is coming, and I'm going to Russia in October so a new coat was the obvious thing to buy. I wanted a Sherlock type coat and a warm one. This is wool so when I was taking these pictures I felt like I was going to melt.

Zara Jumper
I love jumpers, we know this. I love t-shirts that say things, we know this too. So a jumper that says thikngs? Perfection. Again a Zara purchase and I love it to bits, I'm wearing it right now for exapmple. Not the warmest thing to ear but it's nice.

Red Trousers Zara
Er, I only had two pairs of trousers so I decided to add to the collection with a pair of bright red ones. Everyone should have a pair in my opinion.

Maroon Pattered Trousers Zara
Zara do very good pattered trousers. I love these and they really are the perfect Autumn colour too. The pattern is so me too, I have a black pair of trousers with a similar pattern. Problem with the pattern is the fabric is quite difficult in the sense that they don't stretch, so I wouldn't recommend doing squats in these.

Football Boots
So it may surprise some of you but I joined the girls football team, my school is football obsessed so I may as well right? I wasn't too fussed about the colour but now I realise that they clash with pretty much every item of sports clothing I own...of well, it's just sport.

Back from Blonde & Blue

As you guys probaly noticed, during the summer I dip dyed my hair blue. This was something I'd wanted to do for literally ever. The blue didn't last for very long, only about two weeks, then my hair progressed to a greyish white and then finally to a blonde colour which it remained for the rest of the Summer...until now. With going back to school it meant cutting off the ombre. This made me sad because I really loved it. I do know for certian that eventually I will be returning to the blonde ombre because I really liked it so very much.

The Blue...

The Ombre...

The Short...
And Now...
It's shorter than I thought It would be but oh well, at least it will grow.

Today I'm Wearing... (Sept 6th)

Sooooo we had a sort of formal dinner and this is what I wore! And yes Marilyn Monroe has indeed been resurrected for this occasion.

Also opinions on me going blonde?

The Horror of Back to School

I think I can speak for pretty much 99% of everyone in education when I say that the idea of going back to school inspires fear and unimaginable dread in the hearts of students all across the country and even the world.
So naturally I went shopping! Retail therapy, I'm telling, it's the best cure for stress.

As I now a habit for me I needed a new bag to start this new school year with. I've had a different one every year and was hardly going to stop now was I?

I returned to Mango and purchased this one! It has one large internal pocket with a side pocket that zips up, ideal for hiding gum in. The main pocket does however not have a zip, so do be careful not to get your things rained on.

Shoes were also on the list as an essential.

These perfect pair are from Russell & Bromley. They fit like a dream. I also very much enjoy how pointy they are, however this ended up being a point of dispute between my mother and I as she thought they would been too pointy for school and then I wouldn't be allowed to wear them. I highly doubt schools have rules on how pointed shoes are allowed to be. I must say I like them as I feel like one of the witches out of Roald Dahl's "The Witches". You may also  have noticed that I kept the box for these. This is form my very firm believe that pretty things, especially shoes, deserve their original boxes to keep them safe and less damaged then those shoes you just chuck on the floor, forget about, and then let the whole household continuously trip over.

Something my new school required was actually two pairs of shoes. So we other for a nice lovely pair and then also a more closed shoe. I went for a black leather pair from Next. They have a slight Chelsea Boot appearance...but I would honestly describe them as Chelsea boots with out the boot.
These are amazingly comfy however and has made walking around school bearable.

I'm at school now and as everyone now starting their A-Levels, I need four big, new folder.
Lucky for me my school shop sells lots of nice colours an I went with purple, light blue, peach and a pinkish colour I can't really name. They make a nice combination and I love coordination. Also I used the stickers I bought to decorate my folders to make them prettier and most importantly, identifiable as my own.
The France stickers naturally went on my French folder the, the London stickers on my English Lit, Everything green on my Bio and nothing yet really for maths so I will need to get more. Thats soooooo not a problem.

You may know that I have a new laptop (I mentioned it a couple blog posts ago) and unfortunately and slightly irritatingly it does not have a built in disk drive. So I had to buy one. I realise that I would most likely have a problem with lots of people having the same one, so i went crazy with the stickers. I even managed to add my name in the top left hand corner too!
So I do go to a boarding school (basically Hogwarts...but with out the magic) and everyone seems to have this, it's a tuck box. The main purpose is basically food, but me being myself DIDN'T BRING ANY WHICH IS JUST SO STUPID.
But yes this now lives at the bottom on my bed and has nothing in at the moment. I like the colour and it really makes this feel like the movie boarding school experience you know.
A present I got from my brother after he returned from the states was this. It's a Harvard water bottle. I like it because it makes me look intelligent even if I wasn't the one who went (no one needs to know that small detail). It's great as I'm now doing more sport and the pink just makes me smile. I love Pink, and funnily enough I does sit quite nicely with my drink cup from Pink.

Majorca 2014

So recently as a last little escape me and my family went to majorca for a few days before schools started again.
