One Direction Glamour!

The boys are at it again, another magazine cover on top of countless others. Everyone wants an excuse to write about them or take pictures of their pretty faces (myself included). But seeing as this is a fashion blog I must make sure that I write about them from a fashion angle so you can only imagine my delight when I discovered that they were set to do a cover for Glamour magazine this upcoming August!
Oh how I wish that was me....
Magazines know know they have to keep it fashion related, so Glamour simply decided they could get away with it by placing the more than beautiful Victoria's Secret model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in amongst the boys. I can't exactly complain.
I'd like to be Rosie okay...
I also recall Vogue doing something similar in their 2012 december issue where they placed Edie Campbell in between the fabulous five. Gosh they look stunning and so grown up. Personally I prefer when the more professional magazines get their hands on the boys because they always cast them in a better light. One that doesn't make them look like they're for 10 years olds. And also don't you think they should model because hello!
One Direction in the Vogue December 2012 issue
And did you know that you can get a snek peak at the cover etc. and behind the scenes footage of the shoot can be found in the video here! (Sorry, it's a link to tumblr, couldn't find it on YouTube!)
They're so perfect *sob*
Harry looks so awkward it's actually hilarious
I look forward to July 2nd when the full interview will be available online at Glamour.com or nationwide in the States on July 9th. I will post the pictures of the boys with Rosie the moment they become available!

Anyway, goodbye from me and the boys! (I need to go back to bed, still fell like death you see.)

This Is Us (No, this will kill us.)

Today some very exciting news was announced within the One Direction fandom which was the trailer for their upcoming documentary/movie "This Is Us" which is an in-depth look into the boys lives on the road, their music and their more than loveable antics.
The film follows them as they travel around the world, play out areas and be the fabulous little life ruiners that they are!
As a Directioner myself I can say that I am very proud of how far the boys have come and so quickly as well! And I'd be lying if I wasn't crying a little whilst watching the trail (Don't judge me, so was the entire fanbase...)

The trailer aired on One Direction's Vevo channel on the 25th of June and the film is expected for release in the Uk on the 29th August and on the 30th in the US.
The movie will also be in 3D.
A long with the trailer announcement the band also announced that they will be releasing a new single with the movie titled "Best Song Ever" which a snippet of is also played at the end of the trailer.
To help show their appreciation for the band and what they have done their fans trended #TheBandThatLostTheXFactorButWonTheWorld number one worldwide.
Many fans also tweeted that "IM LITERALLY IN SHOCK I CAN'T BELIVE THIS AT ALL"
"THE TRAILER MADE ME SUPER EMOTIONAL I LOVE THEM SO MUCHand many other mentions of how much they love them and are proud.

This boy tho...
So grab your popcorn as Louis has and get ready, the boys are coming to the big screen and I am certainly one who will no be missing this.

Jack and Finn: Twin Style

As many of you may know London's Men's Fashion Week is currently under way and I noticed that YouTubers Jack and Finn Harries (Finn left, Jack Right) have been attending a couple, "Cheeky" as Jack would say, fashion shows including Topman and Burberry which they got front row for!

Damn they look fine... just saying...
Picture: Source
The boys upload videos to their YouTube channel "Jacksgap" which was started by Jack (right) so that he could help to document his gap year for his friends and family. They film in Jacks bed room and have amassed and astounding two millions subscribers, only two years after the channel was first made.

I think that the boys have a good sense of style and could easily get involved in modelling I mean just look at them, so many words can be used to describe them, funny, gorgeous, handsome to name a few! And to be quite honest who wouldn't want to see more of their fabulous faces?
I'd keep an eye on them as I have a small feeling that they may become more important and I sincerely hope that they get more involved in the fashion scene because it would give me more of a excuse to write about two of my favorite YouTubers.   *Whisper shouts to you "I LOVE THEM!"*

Butterfly Queen (Hairstyle)

In my last post you will have no doubt noticed my rather more adventuress hairstyle.
This was done by Georgia, she put my hair up in a high bun, clipped it and then proceded to put dozens of butterflies in my hair. The end result was indeed quite fairytale like! So I can tell you that it achieved the desired effect. Note that she also did my make up which made me look not awful for once! The pictures below were taken by Georgia also :D

Isn't she pretty

Thank you again to the fabulous Georgia who made me look like a idiot all in the name of art, her blog is here >> Daisy Chains And Bows

Butterfly Queen (Disney Princess Inspired Shoot)

One of my best friends Georgia has realised that she can easily rope me into helping her with her art. This weekend she needed me to help with a sort of Disney princess inspired shoot where she filled my hair with butterflies to transform me into a "Butterfly Queen" of sorts. Below are some of my favorite pictures and also go give her some love because she takes the most amazing photos and is just an all round fabulous human being!

Today I'm Wearing... (June 16th)

So today me and my mother went to a "Grand Summer Sale" which was basically various stalls inside a large marquee where various interiors and garden related business could display what they had to offer and help to promote themselves etc, etc. (I spent the whole time pointing at thing going "Mum I've got that on Sims. Don't judge. It's my favorite game.)

I am wearing my trusty Slam Dunk concert top, a pair of waist high vintage floral shorts for Miss Selfridge and a denim shirt from Next. (My bag is just my camera bag). I didn't wear much for the reason that it was warm outside anyways and if you're inside in a marquee that's packed it's even hotter.
Also I put my hair up in a high bun because I had just had a shower and didn't exactly want water dripping now my back because, well, it's annoying.
I think the look worked well because of the whites and blues and black. It really does have a sort of Summer cool around it no?

Shorts: Miss Selfridge £ 32 - Top: Slam Dunk £15 - Shirt: Next £20
You may notice that in my hand there is a mirror, I decided to buy a retro hand held mirror from the sixties, it cost around £15 and also a little off topic but who thinks my camera is sexy?
I think my camera is sexy. (It's funny because it's more attractive than I am.)

Me being creative(ish) with my shots.
What are your favorite outfits for trips out in Summer? And what do you avoid wearing at all costs?
Let me know in the comment!

Favorite Summer Accessories

Summer is so close now, and with that even one know we must have clothes to suit the mildly warmer climate, we must also have some new accessories.

Naturally this means new shoes, sandals, sunglasses and who doesn't want new nails varnish.

  • As I mentioned in my last post I finally bought myself a fabulous pair of light coloured Vans which would be perfect to wear to Warped (But I can't go *sob in corner whilst rocking back and forth*).
  • Leather studded gladiators from Aldo will help to make any look instantly more summerly (Just don't walk in sand because it will get in the shoes and everyone know that's down right annoying).
  • Sunglasses from River Island, some round framed ones because they look pretty awesome on (even if it comes at the price of countless "you lok like a bug" jokes from your siblings) and they seem to be coming back with more and more people wearing them.
  • Neon Nail varnish from Next because who doesn't like to paint their nails in various bright colours and as it is almost Summer it will fit in with all the other brightness and clothes. (As long as you don't live in the UK where it will just be majorly gloomy for three months.)

Pool green vans. Leather studded gladiators. Black rounded sunglasses. Neon orange nail polish.
What are your chosen accessory that wil help you combat this summer? Left me know in the comments below! (Hahahah that rythmed, yes I know I'm lame laughing at my own jokes, get off my case).

Today I'm Wearing... (June 9th)

Today was a prefect summers day and after a more than time consuming shop that took up the majority of my Saturday I felt it was only appropriate to wear some of my clothes for this up and coming Summer.
As it was warm again I wanted something that would be nice and keep me cool in the sunny weather.
This came in the form of a sleeveless white shirt from Zara basic which I tucked into a light blue embroidered skater skirt from the fabulos Miss Selfridge (Not even joking, most of their stuff is in my opinion beyond perfect!)

My shades of the summer are the black one you see below. The are perfect for hiding the bags under your eyes from partying (or blogging, in my case) all Summer days and nights long. Also they have been trending more lately and seem to add some more drama and help to create a more interesting look than if you go from more 'normal' sunglasses such as wayfarer's or aviators.

Black rounded sunglasses
I paired that with a very new pair of pool green vans. (Okay, I know I'm like the last person to jump on this band wagon but I don't care, I have them now so go away.) I also wore some white ankle socks because I get weirded out when not wearing socks.

My fab brand new "Pool Green" Vans

I even co-ordinated my ice cream!

The outfit served its purpose brilliantly but naturally there's only so much clothes can do, so to make the most of the nice weather I was treated to a delicious ice cream. I have my usual, three scoops, one vanilla, one bubble gum and one smarties.

Sleeveless Shirt: Zara Basic £30 - Embroidered Skater Skirt: Miss Selfridge £35 - Shoes: Vans £55 - Round Framed Sunglasses: River Island £10 - Nails Neon Orange: Next £2.20

Today I'm Wearing... (June 4th)

Today was a Tuesday, one that should have been spent at school, however I had something more important to do. I had an interview for a school for sixth form, one in the south of england. This meant I had the pleasure of a four hour car journey, there and back.

Because of these two things, having to look presentable and be comfy, I chose some white skinny jeans, a light blue Crew shirt and blazer.
I chose these because I wanted my outfit to resemble that of someone who they would like to attend the school, also I decided on lighter colours because they are always more appropriate for warmer weather.
My make-up for the day was very minimal, I only wore Mascara and Concealer, this was so that it looked as through I wasn't trying to hard by over doing it but also meant that I didn't look as though I didn't care which is what I would have looked like had I not worn any at all.

Not too interesting, but that was kinda the point today.
