(Fake it till you make it!)
I also added this onto my YouTube channel in the form of a haul video, which I have never done before. You can find it here.
Now without any further ado, here is what I have collected in the last few days!
Make-up & Products
Also it took more than two coats to get a good coverage and colour which was a little disappointing. I still like the colour so will be wearing it this summer.
Revlon Parfumerie African Tea Rose Nail Varnish
Revlon Frostiest Pink Nail Varnish
Because this is quite a sheer nail varnish, to get a decent covering requires a couple coats.
This comes with it's difficulties being that the more coats you have the longer they take to dry. One wrong move or laps of concentration and BAM. You've ruined your nails.
I would recommend that you start with a white, or light pink of nail varnish and then just add this over the top.
I particularly enjoyed this colour with the way it catches the light and is just that little extra bit pretty.
Revlon Lip Butter
I decided against buying certain shades just because they were covered on goo and I had no desire to get my fingers sticky.
In the end I bought the shade with the least goo on the lip butters. This was the shade 001 Pink Truffel.
This shade is similar to my own lips and I love it greatly as I do not own many more neutral shades.
It lasts a long time and feels nice to wear without being overly sticky or thick.
Barry M Core Balmy
Also on the lip front I purchased the Barry M "Core Balmy" tinted lip balm in cb1 "Adam & Eve". (Like seriously what is it with companies and naming things right? It's just the pinkiest shade.)
The balm is nice and has a moisturising core.
It's good but just not as good as the Maybelline Baby Lips.
Sorry Barry!
Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
I am one for concealers. I suffer from terribly obvious bags under my eyes, a mixture of genetics (thanks Dad) and the fact that I spend more time thank I should staring at a computer screen at three in the morning.
I bought mine in warm medium 3. I found that this concealer does not go on as orange as some of my previous concealers do which is a bonus as it means that I do not have to wear more foundation so that it blends in properly.
The products also claims to last for a total of 16 hours and I agree with it to an extend. It does last a long time, I just wouldn't say the full 16 hours.
Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On
Another item I picked up in the ongoing struggle I have with the bags under my eyes is the Simple kind to eyes revitalising roll on. My favourite part of this product is undoubtedly the little metal ball. Applying this just after you've woken up is nice as the metal is quite cooling. The formula itself s designed to make the bags under your eyes less obvious and intense, something I feel it does.
Agin from the Maybelline counter I picked up the Lasting Drama Black Shock Gel Liner, That's right, gel. Normally gel eye liner comes in pot with the brush and I have to admit that I am useless at that. This is why I never bothered with gel and just use liquid eye liner with the pen, however it really doesn't last all too long. I'm an emotional person sometimes and I can cry it off, so I decided to do a little test. I swatched my liquid eyeliner and this one on my hand and ran water from the tap over them. I found that the liquid eyeliner came off straight way whilst the gel stayed. I actually had to scrub it off. I have used this a couple times now and I think it is a get product, even if it does take a couple attempt to get used to it and if you muck up...you muck up.
Barry M Lip Liner
This was a quick little impulse buy that I picked up on my way home when I just wandered into Boots. I can't help myself. I bought the Barry M Lip Liner. I couldn't really find a name or shade on the packaging but I did happen to find a number three? Maybe that's useful? I'm not quite sure. Again, bare with me, I don't know anything about make-up. But I think by now you probably already figured that one out!
I enjoy products wit very long names that indicate that it does things to you. This moisturiser from Clinique certainly does not disappoint. I am someone who suffers from dry skin. It is irritating, not only because it is bad for me and sometimes uncomfortable, but when I am wearing foundation it gets caught on small patches of dry skin on my face which turn orange and are just 100% undesirable.
It is so far certainly proving to be worth the money. Wether it is also a "skin fortifying hydrator" still remains to be seen, but I certainly have high hopes for this product. It is also the most expensive single product I have eve bought at £34. I had researched this product online before hand and even chose to consult my mum on the matter. Only once she gave me the go ahead did I buy it. And just a little side note, this stuff smells amazing!
Hair
Crazy ColourI recently decided to make a mistake which I feel all teenagers must make. I dip dyed my hair. More specifically I dip dyed it Blue. Well I didn't do it myself, too many times have I seen it go horribly wrong with my friends. I had it done at the hair dressers and it took the grand total of 4 HOURS.
Can you do that? Spend 4 hours at the hairdressers? It was difficult, but I made it through.
The colour will only last a couple weeks, it's already a week later and I can already see in some areas that the pre lightener which was put on my hair is already starting to show.
This is why my hair dresser recommended to me to purchase a colour from Crazy Colours to keep my hair topped up and colourful.
As currently the blue on my hair is quite dark I opted for the colour "Bubblegum Blue" to make my hair "pop" even more.
And don't worry, as much as rebelling this is it isn't really, my mum's letting me do it. The catch is I have to get it all cut off in September!
Aussie Take The Heat
So as a result of my recent hair dying experience, I have seen the light and realised that maybe I should take better care of my hair than I currently do.
To kick start this I bought the Aussie Take The Heat leave in cream for when I am straightening or curing my hair.
My hair, especially at the ends, is quite damaged.
Hopefully this will solve my problems to a certain extent. I am someone who believes that buying stuff solves everything.
I have yet to use this product so I will update this section of my post once I do to let you know hoe I got on with that!
Stay tuned friends. I also bought some clothes and accessories on my little shopping trip. I shall be posting them on here is a part two to this haul shortly. I just found the idea of putting everything into the post a little much.
